The WorldSkills General Assembly (GA) is held every two years between the WorldSkills Competition.
Dublin hosted the WorldSkills General Assembly in September 2023. A Unesco city of literature, founded by Vikings, buzzing with traditional pubs and culture, and home to some of the friendliest locals on the planet. The city welcomed the Members, Partners, and stakeholders of WorldSkills International at General Assembly 2023.
Venue and programme
The GA meeting schedule included the meetings of WorldSkills International’s Competition and Strategy Committees (comprised of the Technical and Official Delegates respectively, representing each WorldSkills Member Country/Region), along with the WorldSkills International General Assembly. All meetings took place at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road.
Conference hosted by WorldSkills Ireland
The half-day conference looked into the modernization of apprenticeships as to support Industry 5.0, and how to adapt them to reflect labour market transformations, societal changes, ensuring quality, or supporting mobility. The event also included the live pitch final of BeChangeMaker 2023, where young social entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas in the culmination of the popular online training programme powered by WorldSkills and the HP Foundation.
Held alongside the WorldSkills General Assembly, the Conference brought together industry leaders, policy-makers, education and training providers, researchers, and changemakers with young skilled professionals.
